What Is Rubber Shock Absorber?
A rubber shock absorber is an elastomeric component designed to reduce transmitted vibration, cushion impact and control movement between connected parts. Depending on its structure, it may also be described as a rubber buffer, vibration isolator, rubber mount or bonded rubber bushing.
Rubber shock absorbers are commonly used in machinery, automotive assemblies, agricultural equipment, construction equipment and electronics. In industrial machinery, anti vibration shock absorbers help reduce vibration transfer, noise and impact between equipment and its supporting structure. In automotive applications, rubber buffers and bonded bushings help isolate vibration and cushion movement at suspension, chassis and other mounting points.
